Abstract:
A technique for transmitting a video stream between a first electronic device and a second electronic device is provided. The first device receives an encoded video stream and determines whether an encoding format of the encoded video stream is a format decodable by a second electronic device. If the format is decodable, the encoded video stream is transmitted without a re-encoding operation to the second device. The video stream is displayed at the first device delayed by a determined delay time enabling the video stream to be displayed at the second device substantially synchronized with the display at the first device.
Abstract:
A method of operating a first electronic device is provided. The method includes transmitting stream data to a second electronic device, receiving, from the second electronic device, stream information associated with the stream data received by the second electronic device, and determining at least some of the stream data to be transmitted to the second electronic device based on the received stream information.
Abstract:
A method for operating a terminal that can request stopping the transmission of an entire content including key frames and non-key frame, and receiving only the key frames from the entire content being previously transmitted by a server. The method includes requesting one or more key frames included in contents from a server, generating by the terminal the one or more skipped frames corresponding to non-key frames by receiving the key frames, and inserting the generated skipped frames between the key frames. The skipped frames are generated by the terminal, are identical to the key frames and are placed in positions by the terminal where non-key frames were once part of the entire content at the server.
