Abstract: A remote controller and a method for controlling a screen using the remote controller are provided. The remote controller includes a first screen key; an output interface configured to output a control signal; and a controller configured to control the first screen key and the output interface. The controller outputs first control information corresponding to a press of the first screen key to a display by using the output interface. The first control information is information for scaling a content screen displayed on the display and for displaying the scaled content screen on a first screen area of split screen areas of the display.
