Abstract: A first electronic device for wirelessly transmitting power may include a power transmission circuit, memory, a pulse generator, a foreign object detection circuit configured to detect a foreign object located in a path in which power is wirelessly transmitted through the power transmission circuit, and a control circuit. The control circuit may be configured to wirelessly transmit power to a second electronic device, based on an alternating current (AC) input voltage applied to the power transmission circuit, generate a trigger signal synchronized with a first time corresponding to a specified voltage of the input voltage through the pulse generator, store an output value of the foreign object detection circuit in the memory based on the trigger signal, the output value being identified at the first time, continuously obtain the output value stored in the memory from the memory during a specified time until before the trigger signal of a next period is received at the memory from the pulse generator, and detect the foreign object based on the output value obtained during the specified time.

Abstract: Disclosed is an electronic device including a plurality of sensing coils for sensing an external device; a power transmitting coil for transmitting power to the external device; and a processor configured to: sequentially apply, to the power transmitting coil, powers having magnitudes respectively set to correspond to the plurality of sensing coils, and during a period in which power corresponding to each sensing coil of the plurality of sensing coils among the powers is applied, identify induction voltages respectively induced in the plurality of sensing coils, and sense the external device located on a wireless power transmitting device, on the basis of the identified induction voltages.

Abstract: A wireless power transmission device includes power transmission coils for transmitting power to a wireless power reception device; inverters for applying alternating current power to the coils; a communication module using a frequency different from that of the power transmitted from the coils; and a processor. The processor controls the inverters such that first power is sequentially applied to the coils respectively, receives a communication signal from the reception device through the communication module while the first power is being sequentially applied, identifies a first coil corresponding to a position of the reception device based on of a reception time point of the communication signal and time points at which the first power starts to be applied to the coils, and controls a first inverter corresponding to the first coil such that second power for charging the reception device is applied to the first coil.
