Abstract: An electronic device configured to operate as a radio access network (RAN) intelligent controller (RIC) in an open radio access network (O-RAN) is disclosed. The electronic device may include: a communication interface comprising communication circuitry configured to support an E2 interface, and a processor operatively coupled with the communication interface. The processor may be configured to: store a routing table for managing connectivity between a first application and a plurality of RAN nodes configured to communicate with the RIC over the E2 interface, detect an overload of the first application, generate a second application configured to execute a same function as the first application, update the routing table to include connectivity between at least one of the plurality of RAN nodes and the second application, and control the communication interface to forward messages from the plurality of RAN nodes to the first application and the second application based on the updated routing table.

Abstract: An electronic device may include: at least one application using information related to a user terminal; and a subscription manager, wherein the subscription manager may be configured to: receive, from the application, a subscription request for collecting information of the user terminal; perform at least one operation for subscribing a first base station connected to the user terminal; receive, from the first base station, information indicating that handover to a second base station of the user terminal is performed; perform at least one operation for subscribing the second base station, in response to receiving the information indicating that the handover is performed; and perform at least one operation for releasing subscription with the first base station.
