    Abstract: A method of measuring position information of an electronic device is provided. The method includes measuring position information including at least one of a position, a direction of movement, or a distance of movement of the electronic device by using a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) module, measuring at least one of the direction of movement, the distance of movement, or a change of speed of the electronic device by using at least one of a geomagnetic sensor or an accelerometer, calculating the position information based on the information measured by using the GNSS module, and the at least one of the direction of movement, the distance of movement, or the change of speed of the electronic device measured by using the at least one of the geomagnetic sensor or the accelerometer, and adjusting a position information measurement cycle using the GNSS module based on an error of the position information.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprises: a housing; a touchscreen display viewed through a part of the housing; at least one communication module located inside the housing; a processor located inside the housing and operationally connected to the display and the at least one communication module; and a memory located inside the housing and operationally connected to the processor, wherein the memory is provided to store a location measurement map, and can store instructions allowing, when executed, the processor to check the location of the electronic device by using the communication module, determine a block corresponding to the location of the electronic device on the location measurement map on the basis of at least a portion of the checked location of the electronic device, determine the location measurement method on the basis of at least a portion of priority information about a position source for the determined block and position source information about the electronic device, and measure the final location of the electronic device by means of the determined location measurement method by using the communication module.     Abstract: A movable electronic device for providing location information to an external electronic device includes: at least one sensor; a satellite-positioning circuit; a communication interface; and a processor functionally connected to the at least one sensor, the satellite-positioning circuit, or the communication interface. The processor is configured to identify that the electronic device is in a fixed state, identify whether a predetermined time elapses from the identification based on the identification, determine absolute coordinates of an area in which the electronic device positioned using a plurality of signals received from at least one satellite for the predetermined time from the identification based on identification of the elapse of the predetermined time, and transmit information on the determined absolute coordinates to the external electronic device. The transmitted information on the absolute coordinates is used to determine absolute coordinates of an area in which the external electronic device is positioned by the external electronic device.
