Abstract: An oil circulation ratio OCR of a compressor is reduced with a simple structure. A cylinder head 104 has a suction chamber 141 formed on the inside thereof in a radial direction and a discharge chamber 142 formed on the outside thereof in the radial direction, the suction and discharge chambers being separated by a first annular partition wall 104d. An oil storage chamber 148 is formed at a central portion of the cylinder head 104 by being separated from the suction chamber 141 by a second annular partition wall 104e. A pressure release passage 146 (101c→101d→103c→148→104e1) allows a crank chamber 140 and the suction chamber 141 to communicate with each other. The oil storage chamber 148 forms a portion of the pressure release passage 146, separates oil from a refrigerant flowing through the pressure release passage 146, and stores the oil.

Abstract: A variable displacement compressor capable of preventing delay in pressure release of a controlled pressure chamber, such as a crank chamber. A switching valve (350) disposed downstream of a control valve of a pressure supply passage includes a main valve body (352) and a sub valve body (400). The main valve body (352) includes an internal passage (352d) providing communication between a first valve hole (104e1) communicating with a pressure supply passage (145a) between the control valve and the switching valve (350), and a second valve hole (151a) communicating with a pressure supply passage (145b) between the switching valve (350) and the crank chamber. The main valve body (352) provides communication between the second valve hole (151a) and a pressure release hole (351a1) communicating with the suction chamber, when pressure Pm in the pressure supply passage (145a) is lower than pressure Pc in the crank chamber. The sub valve body (400) closes the internal passage (352d) of the main valve body (352), when pressure Pm is lower than pressure Pc. The sub valve body (400) is lighter than the main valve body (352), and thus, when pressure Pm decreases, the sub valve body (400) actuates before the main valve body (352), to close the internal passage (352d) of the main valve body (352).

Abstract: A control valve of a variable displacement compressor capable of preventing a decrease in control accuracy is provided. In a control valve 300, a valve chamber 321b accommodating a valve body 322 constitutes a part of a pressure supply passage for supplying refrigerant in a discharge chamber to a crank chamber, or constitutes a part of a pressure relief passage through which refrigerant in the crank chamber flows toward a suction chamber, depending on whether the valve hole 321c is open or closed by a valve portion 322a of the valve body 322. A partition portion 322b having a larger diameter than that of the valve portion 322a of the valve body 322, partitions the valve chamber 321b into a first pressure application chamber 321b1 on which the pressure in the suction chamber mainly acts, and a second pressure application chamber 321b2 on which the pressure in the crank chamber mainly acts and into which refrigerant in the discharge chamber flows when the valve hole 321c is open. A clearance between an outer peripheral surface of the partition portion 322b and an inner peripheral surface of the valve chamber 321b forms a fixed orifice of the pressure relief passage. The second pressure application chamber 321b2 is formed to have a larger inner diameter than that of the inner peripheral surface of the valve chamber 321b.

Abstract: Provided is a variable displacement compressor that is directed to cost reduction and productivity enhancement of a second control valve that adjusts an opening degree of a discharge passage for discharging a refrigerant in a controlled pressure chamber to a suction chamber. The variable displacement compressor includes the second control valve (400) configured to decrease an opening degree of the discharge passage to a minimum value when a first end surface (421a) of a valve body (420) accommodated in a valve chamber (410) comes into contact with a first end wall surface (411) of the valve chamber (410) to close a second port (432) and a third port (433), and configured to increase the opening degree of the discharge passage to a maximum value when the first end surface (421a) of the valve body (420) separates from the first end wall surface (411) of the valve chamber (410) to open the second port (432) and the third port (433). The valve body (420) is supported movably in a direction perpendicular to the first end wall surface (411) without contact with a peripheral wall surface (413) of the valve chamber (410), by a guide shaft portion (415a) being slidably inserted into a receiving portion (423) formed at a radially center portion of the valve body (420).

Abstract: Provided is a variable displacement compressor capable of preventing intrusion of foreign matter into a second control valve. A variable displacement compressor 100 is equipped with a first control valve 300 controlling the opening degree of a supply passage 145, a check valve 350, a second control valve 400 controlling the opening degree of a discharge passage 146, and a back-pressure relief passage 147. The second control valve 400 has a back-pressure chamber 410 communicating with an intermediate supply passage 145b1, a valve chamber 420 in which a valve hole 103d and a discharge hole 431a are open and which constitutes a part of the discharge passage 146, a dividing member 430 dividing the back-pressure chamber 410 and the valve chamber 420 from each other, and a spool 440. In a state in which the first control valve 300 closes the supply passage 145 and in which a valve seat side end surface 442a of a valve portion 442 of the spool 440 is spaced away from a valve seat 103f to a maximum degree, an end wall side end surface 442b of the valve portion 442 abuts an end wall 432 of the dividing member 430, whereby communication between the valve chamber 420 and the back-pressure chamber 410 via a through-hole 432a of the end wall 432 is cut off.
