Abstract: The method of making a concentric wire rope on a double twist strander in which the rope is comprised of outer strands and a core strand and in which the lay of the wires of the outer strands is opposite the lay of the wires of the core strand and in the finished rope the length of the lay of the wires of the core strand has been shortened and the length of the lay of the wires of the outer strands has been increased.
