摘要： According to embodiments of the present invention, a stranded conductor is formed in which the occurrence of defects, such as strand unevenness of filaments and outward protrusion of filaments, is inhibited. According to embodiments of the present invention, a stranded conductor (1a) includes soft filaments (2a) stranded together. The soft filaments (2a) include a soft filament made of an aluminum material, disposed along a center (101), and include six soft filaments, twelve soft filaments, and eighteen soft filaments made of an aluminum material, disposed around and concentrically with the center. The filaments are softened filaments that are softened. A lay length (Pa) is from 6.2 times to 15.7 times a conductor diameter of the stranded conductor.

摘要： A steel cord (30) consists of a first group and a second group. The first group comprises two or more plastically deformed outer steel filaments (10) twisted around each other with a first twist pitch and the second group comprises one or more plastically deformed inner steel filaments (20) twisted around each other with a second twist pitch. The second group is twisted around the first group with a cord twist pitch. One of the inner or the outer steel filaments having a part load elongation of x %, all the other inner and outer steel filaments having a part load elongation of y %, whereby x and y fulfil the equation: x-0.10.ltoreq.y.ltoreq.x+0.10, and where all the inner and outer steel filaments have a deforming pitch that is substantially equal to the cord twist pitch.

摘要： Cradle for a twisting machine with a brake for a reel spindle comprising a brake drum and first and second brake shoes operable in succession. The in succession operation is achieved with a brake release link which pivots about either of two relatively offset axes. A component of load is placed upon the release link initially in one direction to cause it to pivot around one of the axes and operate the first brake shoe. Pivoting then takes place around the other axis to operate the second brake shoe.

摘要： The present disclosure relates to a method and a machine for forming stranded wire into a wire cord and comprises the steps and elements of mounting several spools of individual wire strands on a common arbor in a manner that the strands may be unwound in the same direction and fed to a gathering sheave, rotating means for supporting two spaced-apart flyer sheaves arranged radially upward of said gathering sheave, said flyer sheaves being arranged so that the several strands are fed radially outward from said gathering sheave and, hence, from one flyer sheave to the other and, thence, to a discharge station arranged coaxially with said gathering sheave and on the same side of a wire coiling means adapted to pull the wire through the machine, the construction and arrangement of elements being such that the individual strands of wire are caused to be formed into a wire cord in which the number of twists per unit length is a function of the speed of travel of the wire and the revolutions per minute of the rotating means.
