Abstract: A method for processing a transaction at a mobile includes: receiving a product identifier of a product; and creating or updating an electronic shopping cart based on the product identifier of the product; receiving a request for performing a transaction task; in response to the request for performing the transaction task, determining a state of the mobile POS device; when the state of the mobile POS device is determined to be unlocked: performing the transaction task; and when the state of the mobile POS device is determined to be locked: rejecting the request for performing the transaction task.
