Abstract: An insulation panel comprising an outer shell formed of thermoplastic material and an inner space inside the outer shell, wherein the inner space is at least partially filled with a foamed inorganic material comprising at least one mineral binder and optionally at least one synthetic organic polymer, wherein the foamed inorganic material has a density of not more than 500 g/l. The invention is also directed to a method for producing an insulation panel.
