Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wireless battery management system which ensures stability when obtaining battery data through wireless communication. The battery management system includes a manager node operating a primary channel and a secondary channel based on wireless communication and obtaining battery data from a monitor node by using the primary channel or the secondary channel and a monitor node connected to a battery module to collect battery data including one or more of a current, a voltage, a temperature, and self-diagnosis data of the battery module, transmit the collected battery data to the manager node through the primary channel, and when the transmission of the battery data through the primary channel fails, transmit the battery data to the manager node through the secondary channel.

Abstract: A wireless battery management system for quickly establishing a short-range wireless network. The wireless battery management system includes a manager node storing network configuration information when operating in a first mode, and when operating in a second mode, checking one or more monitor nodes being joined in a short-range wireless network using the network configuration information to establish the short-range wireless network along with each of the checked one or more monitor nodes and one or more monitor nodes storing joining information for joining in the short-range wireless network when operating in the first mode, and when operating in the second mode, joining in the short-range wireless network on the basis of the joining information to transmit battery data to the manager node.

Abstract: Disclosed are a communication method between a master controller and slave controllers, a slave controller for the communication method, and a battery management system using the communication method and the slave controller, in which the master controller receives safety information about battery cells through a plurality of channels even when each of a plurality of slave controllers includes only one micro controller unit, thereby minimizing the increase in the cost and enhancing the safety of the battery management system. The communication method includes performing bidirectional communication between a master controller and first to Nth (where N is an integer equal to or more than two) slave controllers through a first communication channel, and receiving, by the master controller, an indication signal through a second communication signal via the first to Nth slave controllers.
