摘要: A cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes first lithium metal phosphate particles, each first lithium metal phosphate particle having a secondary particle shape formed by aggregation of primary particles and having an average particle diameter (D50) in a range from 5 μm to 10 μm, second lithium metal phosphate particles, each having a single particle and having an average particle diameter in a range from 1 μm to 3 μm, and third lithium metal phosphate particles, each having a single particle shape and having an average particle diameter less than 1 μm.

摘要: Cathode active materials for lithium secondary batteries and lithium secondary batteries including the cathode active materials are disclosed. In an embodiment, a cathode active material includes a lithium iron phosphate-based particle including a surface portion and a central portion, both of which includes vanadium (V). A total weight of the vanadium contained in the lithium iron phosphate-based particle includes a first weight amount of vanadium contained in the surface portion of the lithium iron phosphate-based particle and a second weight amount of vanadium contained in the central portion of the lithium iron phosphate-based particle, and the first weight amount is greater than the second weight amount.

摘要: Cathode active materials for lithium secondary batteries and lithium secondary batteries including the cathode active materials are disclosed. In some implementations, a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery includes a lithium metal phosphate particle having a crystallite size in a range from 150 nm to 450 nm in a direction of a crystallographic plane (020) as measured by an X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. In some implementations, a lithium secondary battery includes a cathode including a cathode active material layer that includes a cathode active material for a lithium secondary battery, and an anode facing the cathode. In some implementations, an electrode crystallite size ratio defined by Equation 4 is in a range from 0.5 to 0.9.
