Abstract: A bearing block for holding a bearing for a roller, in particular a strand-guiding roller in a strandguiding device. The bearing block is designed as a solid casting having an integrated internal coolant channel. The coolant channel has an inlet and an outlet for coolant. In order to enable an improvement in the product quality of the cast slabs, the bearing block has a rotational speed sensor for sensing the rotational speed of the roller.
