    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a signal processing device and an imaging device capable of improving an image quality of the imaging device that does not use an imaging lens.
    A signal processing device includes a restoration unit that restores one restored image by using a plurality of detection signal sets obtained by an imaging element in a plurality of states in which at least one of a position or orientation with respect to a subject is different, the imaging element that includes a plurality of pixel output units that receives incident light from the subject incident without an intervention of an imaging lens or a pinhole and each outputs one detection signal indicating an output pixel value modulated by an incident angle of the incident light, and outputs a detection signal set including a plurality of detection signals output from the plurality of pixel output units. The present disclosure is applicable to, for example, an imaging system that images using a plurality of imaging devices.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an imaging device, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing method by which the versatility of an imaging device is improved. The imaging device includes a semiconductor substrate, a plurality of directive pixel output units formed on the semiconductor substrate and having a configuration for receiving incident light from an imaging target entering without intervention of any of an imaging lens and a pinhole, the configuration being operable to independently set an incident angle directivity indicative of a directivity to an incident angle of the incident light, and a plurality of non-directive pixel output units formed on the semiconductor substrate and having no configuration for providing the incident angle directivity. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to imaging apparatus.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to an imaging apparatus and method, and an image processing apparatus and method that make it possible to control the resolution of a detection image. A resolution is set, and a restoration matrix is set including coefficients used when a restored image is restored from output pixel values of a plurality of pixel output units, of an imaging element including the plurality of pixel output units that receives incident light entering without passing through either an imaging lens or a pinhole, and each outputs one detection signal indicating an output pixel value modulated by an incident angle of the incident light, depending on the resolution set. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an imaging apparatus, an image processing apparatus, an information processing apparatus, an electronic device, a computer, a program, a storage medium, a system, and the like.

    Abstract: An imaging control apparatus for achieving proper image control such as focusing control is provided. The imaging control apparatus includes a detection control unit, an image correction unit, and a display control unit. The detection control unit controls detection on the basis of a detection area corresponding to a predetermined area in an object image acquired by an image sensor. The image correction unit corrects, on the basis of lens information relating to an image-pickup lens, the object image displayed on a screen. The display control unit displays, on the basis of the detection area and the lens information, a detection area display at a predetermined position on the screen, the detection area display representing the detection area.
