摘要： A method for establishing an Internet access by using a WLAN protocol from a mobile client station, via an access point to be chosen from a set of identified access points, includes: providing a general database of the identified access points with connection information; requesting Internet access using the protocol, successively moving through browsing through, selecting, associating, authenticating and configuring; establishing the Internet access of the mobile client station via the selected access point. Before and independently of the requesting the Internet access, connection information of at least a portion of the access points of the general database is downloaded into an onboard database of the mobile client station. The browsing through and selecting are carried out based on the downloaded connection information, without soliciting the general database and the identified access points.
