    Abstract: An ultra-broadband waveguide-coupled photodetector on a TFLN platform is provided. Specifically, the waveguide-coupled photodetector on a TFLN-InP heterogeneous integration platform is prepared. An epitaxial layer is grown on a semi-insulating InP substrate by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition, and the epitaxial layer includes a n-contact layer, a sacrificial layer, a drift layer, a cliff layer, a quaternary compound layer, an absorption layer and a p-contact layer sequentially arranged in that order. The n-contact layer and the p-contact layer are heavily doped with InGaAs and InGaAsP, respectively. The absorption layer includes a depletion absorption layer with a thickness of 20 nm and a graded doping absorption layer with a thickness of 100 nm. The photodetector simultaneously improves bandwidth and responsivity, and can be compatible with mature silicon processes and applied to four-level pulse amplitude modulation data receiving systems.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses an integrated system for optical fiber sensing and communication through sharing co-frequency resources. Specifically, the system consists of two parts: optical path detection and circuit demodulation. The entire system consists of a continuous wave laser, a fiber coupler, a polarization controller, a mach-zehnder modulator, an arbitrary waveform generator, an erbium-doped fiber amplifier, an optical filter, an optical fiber annular, an optical fiber, a photodetector, a data acquisition device, a balance detector and a data acquisition card. A transmission optical signal and a sensing detection light are generated by the same laser, transmission performance and sensing performance of the system are changed by adjusting modulation power of a transmission signal, the transmission signal is obtained by using direct detection at far-end, a sensing signal is obtained by using heterodyne coherent detection at local-end. The present invention provides a simple, compact and high-efficiency integrated system for co-frequency sharing optical fiber sneisng and communication, to solve the deficiencies of the existing integrated system in practical applications.

    Abstract: A super-compact arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) wavelength division multiplexer based on a sub-wavelength grating is provided and includes an input waveguide, a first planar waveguide, an arrayed waveguide, a second planar waveguide, and the output waveguide that are sequentially connected. The input waveguide has 1 port, and the output waveguide has 8 ports. The arrayed waveguide includes 50 equivalent uniform strip waveguides with the same length difference, and each of the equivalent uniform strip waveguides is configured as a sub-wavelength grating structure, thereby forming the effect of increasing group refractive index or transmission delay based on a slow light effect. The 8 channels with a channel spacing of 200 GHz have the minimum adjacent channel crosstalk of less than −27 dB, and the overall size is within 300×230 μm2. In the multiplexer, the overall integration size of the device is reduced by an order of magnitude.
