Abstract: The following specification describes a check valve assembly in which a plural-sided interconnecting passageway is provided between passageways in adjacent couplings. A flexible rectangular diaphragm longer than the distance between two of the sides in the interconnecting passageway is deposited between the two sides so that the diaphragm is bent into a loop or U with the backwall adapted to move against or from the end of one coupling passageway to close or open the same. A stop in the interconnecting passageway prevents excessive inward bending or movement of the diaphragm.
