Abstract: Apparatus for disintegrating and bleaching a cellulose pulp which is delivered into a bleaching vessel while in a compacted state and is disintegrated by means creating a whirling effect at the top of the bleaching vessel in the presence of a gaseous bleaching agent and is distributed onto a column of disintegrated pulp in the vessel and is then removed therefrom.
