摘要： Full color photographic images are produced by exposure of a radiation-sensitive element comprising at least three silver halide emulsion layers. At least two silver halide emulsion layers are sensitized to infrared radiation. Selectively absorptive filter layers and/or differential sensitivities between emulsion layers are used to prevent exposure of other layers to radiation used to expose a single layer.

摘要： Supersensitization of silver halide emulsions is effected by the addition of a metal chelating agent after chemical sensitization or a combination of phenylmercaptotetrazoles and a metal chelating agent to a spectrally sensitized emulsion. The contrast of the emulsion may also be increased by the addition of this combination of materials after chemical and spectral sensitization.

摘要： A pneumatically operated pipe crawler for transporting inspection equipment along the interior of a pipe comprises an elongate cylindrical tube of flexible resilient material, such as latex rubber, the tube being partitioned by longitudinally spaced plugs which are hermetically sealed to the wall of the tube thus defining three longitudinally separated chambers. The inspection equipment is mounted at the leading end of the crawler. To advance the crawler along the pipe, air or other gas is supplied to the chambers and exhausted therefrom in repeated cyclic sequence for sequentially expanding the chamber wall portions into clamping relation with the pipe, each wall portion recovering to its axial length upon deflation of the chamber, thereby to propel the tube step by step along the pipe.

摘要： As silver is the most expensive individual component in photographic film, it is desirable to reduce the quantities of silver in such materials. The addition of a certain class of phenolic derivatives has been found to enhance the contrast generated by dyes in color photographic emulsions. Emulsions containing these phenolic compounds can use less silver and produce the same optical density as emulsions with higher silver concentrations.
