Abstract: A display device includes a light source which emits a light and a display panel which displays an image using the light. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate, a plurality of pixels disposed between the first and second substrates, and a light guide layer disposed between the first substrate and the pixels. The light guide layer includes light tunnels which receive the light from the light source and a refractive layer which covers the light tunnels.
