Abstract: A display device includes a display panel and an infrared sensing module. The display panel includes an active region in which a pixel that emits light based on a data signal is disposed. The infrared sensing module transmits a first infrared light that passes through the active region and receives a second infrared light that passes through the active region to recognize an object. The wavelength of the first infrared light may have a wavelength greater than a predetermined value so that a luminance of light emitted by the pixel is not affected by operation of the infrared sensing module.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel, a first insulating layer on the display panel and having a first refractive index, and a second insulating layer on the first insulating layer and having a second refractive index. The display panel includes a pixel definition layer in which a plurality of emission openings are defined, and a plurality of light emitting elements that respectively correspond to the plurality of emission openings. The first insulating layer has a plurality of openings that correspondingly overlap the plurality of emission openings. Each of the plurality of emission openings extends in an extending direction. Each of the plurality of openings extends in a direction that intersects an extending direction of an overlapped emission opening.

At least a portion of the light blocking member is disposed in the light emitting area, one side surface of the light blocking member is disposed in the light emitting area, and an opposing side surface of the light blocking member, which is opposite to the one side surface, is disposed closer to a center of the peripheral area than the one side surface is.
