Abstract: A backlight unit includes a bottom chassis including a bottom portion and a sidewall portion which extends from the bottom portion; a light source disposed in the bottom chassis and configured to generate and emit a light to a display panel which displays an image with the light; and a reflective plate disposed on the bottom portion of the bottom chassis and configured to reflect a portion of the light emitted by the light source toward the display panel The reflective plate includes a reflective layer configured to reflect the light incident thereto; and a magnetic layer disposed between the reflective layer and the bottom portion of the bottom chassis, and magnetically attached to the bottom portion of the bottom chassis.
