Abstract:
A display device includes pixels and includes a gate driver for providing gate signals to the pixels. The display device further includes a level shifter element for providing a boosted clock signal to the gate driver. The display device further includes a controller. The level shifter element includes a first level shifter for providing one of a first gate-on voltage and a gate-off voltage as a first clock signal in response to a gate pulse signal received from the controller. The level shifter element further includes a second level shifter for providing one of a second gate-on voltage and the first clock signal as the boosted clock signal in response to a first control signal received from the controller. The second gate-on voltage is higher than the first gate-on voltage. The gate driver may provide the gate signals in response to the boosted clock signal.
Abstract:
A set of optical sheets may perform at least one of diffusion, refraction, and condensation of light. The set of optical sheets may include a first optical sheet that includes a first base film and a first distinction unit disposed outside the first base film. The set of optical sheets may further include a second optical sheet that includes a second base film and a second distinction unit disposed outside the second base film. The second distinction unit may be spaced from the first distinction unit in a plan view of the set of optical sheets if the second base film complete overlaps the first base film.
Abstract:
A method of driving a display panel includes generating a reference gate signal delayed by a predetermined period from a gate signal applied to a gate line disposed in a first end area of the display panel, the first end area being an area in which a RC delay of a data line is the smallest, receiving an input gate signal applied to a gate line disposed in a second area of the display panel, the second area being an area in which the RC delay of the data line is the largest; and selectively controlling a delay time of each of the plurality of gate signals applied to each of the plurality of gate lines according to a result of comparison between the reference gate signal and the input gate signal.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel including gate lines, data lines, and pixels connected to the gate line and the data lines, a gate driver driving the gate lines, a level shifter applying a gate clock signal to the gate driver, a data driver driving the data lines, a timing controller generating control signals to control the level shifter, the gate driver, and the data driver, and a backlight unit providing light to the display panel. The level shifter sets a voltage level of a gate-on voltage of the gate clock signal to a voltage level of a first gate-on voltage or a voltage level of a second gate-on voltage higher than the first gate-on voltage in response to a gate-on control signal.
