    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel and a backlight unit. The display panel is configured to display an image. The backlight unit is configured to provide light to the display panel. The display panel includes an array substrate including a plurality of pixel areas, an opposite substrate facing the array substrate, a liquid crystal layer disposed between the array substrate and the opposite substrate, and a wavelength-selective transflective member disposed on the array substrate or the opposite substrate.

    Abstract: A display panel includes gate lines extending in a first direction, a first column insulating layer between the gate lines, a gate electrode disposed on the first column insulating layer. The first column insulating layer, the gate lines, and the gate electrode are covered by a gate insulating layer. An active layer is disposed on the gate insulating layer. Source and drain electrodes are disposed above the active layer. Data lines are connected to the source electrode. A second column insulating layer is interposed between the data lines and includes a first contact hole to expose the drain electrode. A contact electrode is disposed in the first contact hole and connected to the drain electrode, a second contact hole is formed through a protective layer to correspond to the first contact hole, and a pixel electrode is connected to the contact electrode through the second contact hole.

    Abstract: A method for manufacturing a polarizer may include forming a first barrier and a second barrier on a surface of a metal layer. The method may further include providing a copolymer layer between the first barrier and the second barrier. The method may further include processing the copolymer layer to form a processed polymer layer that includes first-polymer portions and second-polymer portions that are alternately disposed. The method may further include removing the second-polymer portions from the processed polymer layer to form polymer members that are spaced from each other. The method may further include etching the metal layer, using at least the polymer members, the first barrier, and the second barrier as a mask, to form a plurality of first-type wires and a plurality of second-type wires.
