Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a display panel including a display element. An upper organic layer is disposed over the display panel and includes a first non-folding portion and a second non-folding portion spaced apart from each other in a first direction. A first foldable portion is disposed between the first non-folding portion and the second non-folding portion and extends in a second direction intersecting the first direction. The first foldable portion has a thickness greater than a thickness of the first and second non-folding portions. A plurality of second foldable portions is disposed on both sides of the first foldable portion and extends in the second direction. The plurality of second foldable portions has a thickness less than a thickness of the first non-folding portion.
Abstract:
A display device includes: a display panel; a light source providing light to the display panel; a lower frame on which the light source is disposed; a diffuser plate between the light source and the display panel, the diffuser plate emitting, to the display panel, the light emitted from the light source; and a supporter between the lower frame and the diffuser plate, the supporter supporting the diffuser plate, wherein the supporter includes a supporting portion including a first reflective portion and a second reflective portion having different reflectivities.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes: a display panel including a display portion and a plurality of connection portions connected to the display portion and extending in different directions; and a cover window disposed on the display panel. The cover window includes: a first member defining a plurality of opening patterns therein; and a second member disposed in the plurality of opening patterns, and a modulus of the first member is greater than a modulus of the second member.
Abstract:
A display device includes: a display panel curved in a first direction; a light source which emits a light; and a light guide plate which guides the light from the light source toward the display panel. The light guide plate includes an exit surface curved in the first direction corresponding to a shape of the display panel and an incidence surface, which is defined by a side surface of the light guide plate in the first direction, where the light from the light source is incident onto the incidence surface. The incidence surface is substantially parallel to a normal line at a central portion of the exit surface.
Abstract:
A display device including: a display panel having red, green and blue pixels; a backlight unit; a data driver; and a controller for applying red, green, and blue image data signals, wherein, when the red image data signal of a current frame has a magnitude different from a magnitude of the red image data signal of a previous frame, the controller applies a corrected image data signal having a magnitude different from the magnitude of the red image data signal of the current frame to the data driver as a red image of the current frame, and when the green image data signal of the current frame has a magnitude different from a magnitude of the green image data signal of the previous frame, the controller applies the green image data signal of the current frame to the data driver as a green image of the current frame.
Abstract:
A display apparatus includes a display panel; a touch sensing unit (TSU) on the display panel and including first and second transmission touch lines (TTL); and a touch driving circuit (TDC). The TDC applies first and second touch driving signals (TDS) to the first and second TTL, respectively. The TDC includes first and second sharing switch devices (SSD) respectively connected to the first and second TTL. The first and second SSD are connected to each other. The first TDS has a first voltage level during a first period, and the second TDS has a second voltage level different than the first voltage level during the first period. The TDC is configured to turn on the first and second SSD during a second period after the first period such that the first and second TDSs have a voltage level between the first voltage level and the second voltage level.
