A display device variable between a first mode and a second mode includes a display module including a first portion, a second portion disposed under the first portion, and a third portion disposed between the first portion and the second portion, where the third portion is bent in the first mode, a support part including a support plate disposed under the first portion and a plurality of support bars under the second portion and the third portion, a plate part disposed under the support part and including a magnet part movable in a first direction to be away from or to approach the first portion, and a driving part disposed under the plate part. When being switched from the first mode to the second mode, the third portion is disposed parallel to the first portion, and the magnet part moves in the first direction to overlap the third portion.

A backlight unit includes a light guide plate including a first incident surface; a light source module including a first sub-light source module overlapping the first incident surface of the light guide plate in a first direction, where the first sub-light source module provides light to the first incident surface; and a distance adjusting member including a first sub-distance adjusting member overlapping the first incident surface of the light guide plate in the first direction and disposed at a first side of the first sub-light source module and a second sub-distance adjusting member disposed at a second side of the first sub-light source module, which is opposite to the first side of the first sub-light source module. The first sub-distance adjusting member and the second sub-distance adjusting member may move the light guide plate in the first direction.

Provided is a backlight assembly including: a light source which generates and emits light; a light leakage preventing member including a first horizontal portion and a first vertical portion; a light guide plate including a light input surface and a light output surface; an optical sheet disposed on the light output surface of the light guide plate; and a bottom chassis configured to receive the light source, the light leakage preventing member and the light guide plate therein, in which the light source is disposed at a side of the light guide plate, the first vertical portion of the light leakage preventing member is attached to a rear surface of the light source, and the first horizontal portion is positioned above the light source to overlap a portion of the light output surface of the light guide plate.
