Abstract: A method for operating an electronic device is provided. The method includes identifying at least one designated input. The method also includes, responsive to identifying the designated input, determining if an animation effect has been applied to a user interface displayed on a display. The method also includes, responsive to determining the animation effect applied to the user interface, acquiring battery state information of the electronic device. The method also includes determining an operation time of the animation effect based on the battery state information. The method also includes displaying the user interface to which the animation effect has been applied based on the determined operation time.
