Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a method for reducing KPI data. The disclosed technique is used to reduce insignificant KPI data generated by network entities (NEs) such as Radio Access Network (RAN) or element management system (EMS)/network management system (NMS). Further, the method includes determining a threshold value for each KPI data to determine significance of the KPI data and uses the threshold value to reduce the KPI data in a file. Further, the method includes utilizing a network bandwidth (e.g., control plane traffic load) and a storage space in the EMS/operations support system (OSS) efficiently and helps operators of the EMS/OSS to identify a network KPI deterioration in near real time

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication is provided. The method includes requesting a network on a first frequency for allocating an uplink (UL) grant, detecting at least one UL grant failure in which the UE lost scheduling request (SR) resources without receiving the UL grant from network, releasing the first frequency upon detecting the at least one UL grant failure by reporting the at least one UL grant failure to the network, receiving a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration including a second frequency from the network in response to reporting the failure and adding the second frequency to revive lost SR resources, the second frequency including the same first frequency, which has been released, or a different secondary primary cell (SPcell) associated with the first frequency.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a method, implemented in a User Equipment (UE) operating in Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN) New Radio-Dual Connectivity (EN-DC), of adding a New Radio (NR) Secondary Node (SN) in EN-DC is disclosed. The method includes receiving, in response to a measurement report sent by the UE, configuration data associated with an NR cell. The method includes, ascertaining whether the configuration data comprises a pre-determined parameter indicative of a frequency-shift for dynamic spectrum sharing for an uplink. The method includes performing one of an addition of an NR SN corresponding to the NR cell or a transmission of a failure notification message to the MN, based upon determining that the pre-determined parameter indicative of the frequency-shift criteria for dynamic spectrum sharing for the uplink is absent or present in the configuration data.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method performed by a user equipment (UE) for secondary node failure recovery in a non-standalone (NSA) communication system. The method comprises identifying failure in a secondary node, the UE being connected to a master node and the secondary node. The method comprises sending, to the master node, information related to the failure of the secondary node and an indication of a presence of a fallback secondary node configuration. The method comprises evaluating, an execution condition of the fallback secondary node based on a plurality of connection parameters. The method comprises sending to the master node, a Radio Resource Control (RRC) reconfiguration complete message to connect to the fallback secondary node based on that the evaluation condition is succeeded.
