Abstract:
Provided in various embodiments is a method for operating an electronic device. The method may comprise the operations of: recognizing, through a communication circuit of the electronic device, that an external device connected to a connector of the electronic device is a power supply device having the function of changing a voltage value and a current value; selecting, on the basis of the recognition, a direct charging circuit from among the direct charging circuit and a switching charging circuit of the electronic device as a charging circuit through which a power signal, received from the power supply device through the power source terminal, is to pass; and confirming the voltage of the battery on the basis of the occurrence of a designated event while the direct charging circuit is selected, and requesting, through the communication circuit, the power supply device to output a power signal having a voltage value that is N times the battery voltage. Other various embodiments are possible.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for wirelessly charging are disclosed. An accessory device is detachably mounted on an electronic device. The accessory device includes a housing including a first face configured to oppose a face of the electronic device when the housing is mounted on the electronic device, a second face opposite to the first face, and a third face extending in a first direction from the first face so as to enclose at least a portion of a side face. The accessory device further includes a battery and at least one conductive pattern electrically connected to the battery. The accessory device can transmit power to the electronic device in a wireless manner and/or receive power from an external device in a wireless manner. Areas of the first face and the third face of the housing of the accessory device are formed of a non-conductive material.
