Abstract: A method and system for improving cache management in a 5th generation (5G) network function (NF) is provided. The method includes receiving a list of requests from a plurality of user equipment (UE) requiring access to their corresponding user context. The method further includes determining a priority value for each of the plurality of UEs in the received list based on at least one of analytics data received from a network and data analysis function (NWDAF), paging data, or cache eviction policy. The method further includes prioritizing storage of user contexts in a local cache unit based on the priority value for each of the plurality of UEs. The method further includes receiving a request for accessing a user context from a UE of the plurality of UEs and accessing the user context from the cache unit based on the received request.

Abstract: A method for providing a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) in a wireless communication system and an apparatus are provided, the method comprises obtaining information on a quality of experience (QoE) evaluated for each evolved MBMS (eMBMS) from among a plurality of eMBMSs in a service region, the QoE being evaluated based on a report from each user equipment (UE) receiving data of the each eMBMS, and determining, based on the information on the evaluated QoE, whether to switch a transmission mode for transmission of at least one of eMBMS content associated with the plurality of eMBMSs.

Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a method for managing Quality of Service (QoS) for multiple Evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) services in a wireless communication system. The method includes detecting, by a network node, more than one Multimedia Broadcast-Multicast Service (MBMS) services in a group of MBMS services have a similar popularity index. Further, the method includes identifying, by the network node, which eMBMS service has more number of users facing Quality of Experience (QoE) issues, in response to detecting that the more than MBMS service in the group of MBMS services have the similar popularity index. Further, the method includes localizing, by the network node, whether the QoE issue is from at least one of the core network, the access network, the single eNB or a complete Multimedia Broadcast Single Frequency network (MBSFN) area. Furthermore, the method includes dynamically modifying, by the network node, QoS parameters based on the identification of the QoS issue.
