Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a help guide are provided. The method and apparatus for providing a help guide by an electronic device includes acquiring an image by using a camera, detecting a face from the image, and providing a help guide corresponding to the task being executed, when a user's input is not received with respect to a task being executed while the face is being detected and a predetermined help guide providing condition is satisfied.
