Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to refrigerators and methods of controlling the refrigerators. The refrigerator comprises a compressor configured to operate at a first rotation speed and a controller configured to calculate a first average of levels of electric signals input to the compressor during a first reference period, and control the compressor to operate at a second rotation speed higher than the first rotation speed when the first average is greater than a first reference value.
Abstract:
Provided is a refrigerator including a door frame enhanced to support a door glass. The refrigerator includes a main body including a storeroom, a plurality of door glasses separately arranged to insulate the storeroom, an outer frame supporting an outer glass arranged on an outer side among the plurality of door glasses, an inner frame supporting an inner glass arranged on an inner side among the plurality of door glasses and including a same type of material as the outer frame, and an insulation member arranged between the outer frame and the inner frame and including a different type of material from the outer frame and the inner frame.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a food storage apparatus with improved security performance due to performing of a lock/unlock function from far away and a method of controlling the same. Also, provided are a food storage apparatus which allows a user far away to take appropriate measures by reporting approach of an unauthorized person, opening of a door, etc. or to check a thief or stolen food and a method of controlling the same. The food storage apparatus includes a body in which a storage space for storing food is formed, a door installed on the body to be openable, a locking unit which locks the door, a communication unit which communicates with an external terminal to receive a locking command, and a control unit which controls the locking unit to lock the door when the locking command is received from the terminal.
Abstract:
A refrigerator includes a storage chamber for storing food; an ice making compartment provided at an upper side corner of the storage chamber; and two shelves provided between a sidewall of the ice making compartment and a sidewall of the storage chamber opposite to the sidewall of the ice making compartment. The two shelves include a rotatable shelf and a horizontal shelf mounted between the sidewall of the storage chamber and the rotatable shelf and configured to be adjustable vertically upwards and downwards independently of the rotatable shelf. The rotatable shelf, while maintaining the vertical position, forms a vertical space for keeping food having a great height and stored on a shelf provided below the rotatable shelf. The rotatable shelf and the horizontal shelf form a horizontal space for keeping food having a great width when the horizontal shelf and the rotatable shelf in the horizontal position are horizontally aligned.
Abstract:
A refrigerator with an ice making device. The refrigerator includes a body defined with a refrigerating compartment, a freezing compartment, and an ice making compartment, the ice making compartment arranged in the refrigerating compartment while being thermally insulated from the refrigerating compartment, a first evaporator arranged in the refrigerating compartment, a second evaporator arranged in the freezing compartment, a refrigerating duct for circulating cold air from the first evaporator to the refrigerating compartment, a freezing duct for circulating cold air from the second evaporator to the freezing compartment, and an ice making flow passage for communicating the second evaporator and the ice making compartment. The second evaporator, ice making compartment, and ice making flow passage form a closed circuit such that the cold air in the ice making compartment does not enter the refrigerating compartment.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a refrigerating compartment that is divided into a refrigerating section formed on an upper side thereof and an alternate temperature section formed on a lower side thereof, a cold air supply unit that includes a cold air flow path formed on a rear side of the refrigerating compartment and a refrigerating compartment circulation fan for allowing cold air of the cold air flow path to flow, and a control unit that controls the refrigerating compartment circulation fan. Here, the control unit cools the refrigerating section by turning on the refrigerating compartment circulation fan, and causes deflection of the cold air of the cold air flow path to cool the alternate temperature section by turning off the refrigerating compartment circulation fan.
