Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing including a front surface and a rear surface facing, a display exposed through a portion of the front surface, an illuminance sensor disposed between the display and the rear surface to overlap an area of the display when viewed from above the front surface, a processor positioned inside the housing and operatively connected with the display, and a memory positioned inside the housing and operatively connected with the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions configured to, when executed, enable the processor to receive first illuminance data measured using the illuminance sensor, identify display parameter information associated with the first illuminance data, obtain second illuminance data based on at least a part of the display parameter information and the first illuminance data, and adjust a brightness of the display based on at least a part of the second illuminance data.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to obtain an image; identify whether or not the luminance of the display equals to or is higher than a predetermined luminance; when the luminance of the display equals to or is higher than the predetermined luminance, identify the FPS of the image and the motion information of a scene of the image to be displayed by means of the display, and determine a refresh rate of the display based on the FPS of the image and the motion information of the scene; and, when the luminance of the display is lower than the predetermined luminance, determine a refresh rate corresponding to the FPS of the image as the refresh rate of the display, and display the scene of the image by means of the display based on the determined refresh rate.

Abstract: An electronic device according to various embodiments may include a display panel, a Display Driving Integrated Circuit (DDIC) operatively coupled to the display panel, and a processor operatively coupled to the DDIC. The DDIC may be configured to receive, from the processor, a signal indicating that a first resolution is to be converted to a second resolution while displaying an image at the first resolution through the display panel, based on a horizontal synchronization signal including a first porch interval, change a length of the porch interval in response to the reception, and display the image at the second resolution through the display panel, based on the horizontal synchronization signal including the porch interval having the changed length.
