Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments of the present disclosure comprises: a housing; a display module that is placed on one surface of the housing and comprises a display area and a non-display area; and at least one touch sensor located in at least a partial area of the housing, which comprises the non-display area, at least a part of the at least one touch sensor being formed to be parallel to the display module, wherein the at least one touch sensor is configured to detect input from the side surface of the housing.
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device having an auxiliary device that can be attached/detached. The disclosed device comprises: a first electronic device having a touch screen arranged thereon; and a second electronic device arranged to be forced against at least a partial area of a surface of the touch screen such that data is input to the touch screen by a pressing operation, wherein the second electronic device may comprise a keypad unit, which comprises an array of multiple key tops that are pressed, and a substrate, which operates the touch screen by means of pressing of the key tops.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for improving touch sensitivity of a capacitive type touch screen panel are provided. In the method, the apparatus sequentially drives a plurality of transmitting channels of the touch screen panel using a predetermined scan frequency. The apparatus determines a sequential touch count by simultaneously scanning a plurality of receiving channels of the touch screen panel wherein the sequential touch count is the number of sequentially touched receiving channels. Also, the apparatus specifies a scan unit to be used for dividing the plurality of receiving channels into groups on the basis of the sequential touch count and for sequentially scanning the groups of the receiving channels. The apparatus determines a touch coordinate by sequentially scanning the plurality of receiving channels using the specified scan unit.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes: a display, a first sensor circuit, a second sensor circuit; and a processor coupled to the display, the first sensor circuit, and the second sensor circuit. Based on a change in a display driving signal of the display, the display is configured to provide, to the processor, a first synchronization signal corresponding to the changed display driving signal. Based on the first synchronization signal, a second synchronization signal different from the first synchronization signal is provided to at least one of the first sensor circuit or the second sensor circuit.
Abstract:
A system and a method of identifying a type of touch input to a mobile device with a touch panel are provided. The system includes a touch screen comprising a touch panel, a memory for storing information to execute a function of an application, corresponding to a touch area size and a touch interaction, and a controller. The controller identifies, when a touch is detected via the touch panel, the touch area size and the touch interaction. The controller determines information to execute a function corresponding to the identified touch area size and the identified touch interaction by referring to the memory. The controller controls a function of the application that is currently being executed.
