Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an apparatus and a method for controlling battery charging in an electronic device. The electronic device comprises a plurality of temperature sensors disposed at different positions, a battery, a memory, at least one processor, and a charging module for controlling charging of the battery, wherein the charging module may be configured to identify a charging type of the battery, to select at least one temperature sensor among the plurality of the temperature sensors based on the charging type of the battery, and to control a charging current of the battery based on a temperature measured through the at least one temperature sensor. Other embodiments may be possible.

Abstract: A method of controlling a charging voltage, the method including: receiving first environmental information from an environmental sensor, setting a voltage level of the charging voltage to a first voltage level in response to the first environmental information; charging a secondary power source including at least one capacitor with the charging voltage having the first voltage level; receiving second environmental information from the environmental sensor; in response to the second environmental information being different than the first environmental information, changing the voltage level of the charging voltage; and charging the secondary power source with the charging voltage having the changed voltage level.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display, a conductive coil, a wireless charging circuit electrically connected to the conductive coil, a power management circuit, a battery; and a processor, wherein the processor may be configured to control the electronic device to: measure a current flowing from the power management circuit to the wireless charging circuit while power is transferred to an external device through the conductive coil, and adjust the power transferred to the external device through the conductive coil based on a part of a power amount preset in a signal requesting addition of power based on a value of the current being between a first threshold value and a second threshold value greater than the first threshold value.

Abstract: An electronic device may comprise: a battery; a charging circuit; a wireless power receiver circuit configured to acquire transmitted power wirelessly output from an external electronic device; and a processor. The processor may be configured to control the electronic device to: charge the battery through the charging circuit using received power acquired through the wireless power receiver circuit; identify at least one piece of information related to the charging, while the charging operation is performed; transmit a designated signal corresponding to suspension of the transmitted power to the external electronic device such that the external electronic device enters a wireless charging standby mode, in which the external electronic device holds the operation of outputting the transmitted power, at least partially based on the at least one piece of information; identify first situation information regarding the electronic device during the wireless charging standby mode; identify second situation information regarding the electronic device, in response to identifying the first situation information; and sense the electronic device being detached from the external electronic device based on the electronic device corresponding to the first situation information and the second situation information.
