Provided are a discrete Fourier transform (DFT)-spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) transmitter and transmission method, and a DFT-spread OFDM receiver and reception method which may receive signals transmitted thereby, in which a constellation rotation angle and a frequency domain spectrum shaping vector are designed such that a PAPR may be easily traded off with frequency efficiency even without inter-symbol interference. The DFT-spread OFDM transmitter includes a constellation rotation unit constellation-rotating a symbol vector including M pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) symbols by a constellation rotation angle to generate a constellation-rotated symbol vector, a pruned DFT-spread unit spreading the constellation-rotated symbol vector by using a pruned DFT matrix to generate a pruned DFT-spread vector, a frequency domain spectrum shaping unit performing a Hadamard product on the pruned DFT-spread vector with a shaping vector to generate a frequency domain spectrum shaped vector, and a subcarrier allocation unit allocating the frequency domain spectrum shaped vector to a subcarrier in an allocated frequency range.

A base station for transmitting and receiving signals in a wireless communication system is provided. The base station includes a transceiver, and at least one processor configured to obtain reception antenna weights for the base station including an array of a plurality of antennas, and transmission antenna weights for at least one user equipment (UE), convert signals received from the at least one UE through a plurality of reception paths, into beam-domain signals, based on the transmission antenna weights and the reception antenna weights, combine the converted beam-domain signals by applying predefined combining weights to the converted beam-domain signals, and obtain data from the combined signals.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for communicating data and, more particularly, to an apparatus and a method for communicating data enabling portable terminals to transmit and receive a message by using an NFC module. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for communicating data with an external device by using an NFC (Near Field Communication) module in a portable terminal having the NFC module includes: detecting a notification event from the NFC module notifying contact of the external device; deciding whether a preregistered message to be transmitted to the external device exists in a storage unit if the notification event is detected; and controlling the NFC module to transmit the preregistered message to the external device if the registered message exists in the storage unit.
