Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method for performing wireless power transfer on the basis of heterogeneous communication. Disclosed in the present specification is a wireless power receiving device comprising: a power pickup unit configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transfer device by magnetically coupling with the wireless power transfer device at an operating frequency, and convert an alternating current signal generated by the wireless power into a direct current signal; a communication/control unit configured to receive the direct current signal from the power pickup unit, and perform an in-band communication using the operating frequency and/or an out-band communication using a frequency other than the operating frequency; and a load configured to receive the direct current signal from the power pickup unit. Configuration information, control information and management information related to wireless power transfer, and procedures related to the exchange thereof are defined as an out-band communication protocol, and thus various applications of wireless power can be supported.

Abstract: A shimmer detection apparatus for detecting a shimmer within a chip card reader is provided. The shimmer detection apparatus comprises processing circuitry, memory, and a first sensor in electronic communication with the processing circuitry. The first sensor comprises at least one sensor coil. The at least one sensor coil of the first sensor is disposed proximate to contacts of the chip card reader and is operative to generate a first magnetic field when electrical current flows through the at least one sensor coil. The first sensor is operative to measure at least one electrical value from the first magnetic field. The processing circuitry is operative to receive information representative of at least one electrical value of said first sensor. The memory comprises stored therein information representative of at least one predetermined electrical value. A multiplexer and hand-detection functionality is provided. Tampering-detection methods are also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed are an access security system using a security card and a mobile terminal, and a security method for same. The present disclosure configures a mutual security function for storing an encrypted public key in a security card (E-card), and storing a private key, which can decrypt the encrypted public key, in a mobile terminal. Accordingly, a security function that is strengthened to the next level is achieved which: only allows secure access at an entrance by means of a mutual certification procedure through an NFC connection between the security card and the mobile terminal; increases the security efficiency of access management while preventing the security of a secure server from being neutralized by an information leak that has occurred due to the loss, theft, hacking, duplication, or the like of the security card; and in particular, fundamentally prevents abnormal connections by third parties to IoT equipment that can be connected to the secure server as a result of the neutralization of security.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a smart label based on NFC, a hat, and a manufacturing method of the smart label. The smart label includes an NFC chip storing product information, a fixing layer fixing the NFC chip, a first recycled material layer disposed on the fixing layer, a first silicone layer, a second recycled material layer disposed on the fixing layer, a second silicone layer, and a wrapping layer. The product information is obtained by an electronic device having an NFC function. The wrapping layer is wrapped around an outer periphery of a structure. The structure is formed by the first silicone layer, the first recycled material layer, the fixing layer, the second recycled material layer, and the second silicone layer. By providing the NFC chip in the smart label, when the electronic device is communicated with the smart label on the hat, the product information is read.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a file transmission/reception device includes a communication direction managing unit and an application unit. Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are presented for systems and methods for identifying characteristics of a return pad in a monopolar electrosurgical system using contact quality monitoring (CQM) and near field communication (NFC) signals. In some aspects, resistance or impedance materials are sensed that may help identify what kind of return pad is being used, including what is the structure of the pad. In some aspects, NFC signals are used to identify characteristics of the return pad. In some aspects, the grounding or return pad may include two separate materials that form an interconnecting or interwoven mesh and both act as non-active electrodes when both contact the patient. A non-zero impedance may separate conductive lines connecting the two separate materials that may be analyzed to obtain a defining signature about that is linked to structural characteristics about the return pad.
