    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a washing machine and a control method thereof, and more particularly, to a technology capable of controlling washing modes in various manners by manipulating a control panel of the washing machine. The washing machine includes a display configured to display a washing mode, an inputter configured to receive a washing mode select command, a storage configured to store a selected washing mode, and a controller configured to allow a washing mode, which has the largest number of times selected during a predetermined number of times of washings, to be displayed on a first screen of the display, and in response to the number of the washing mode having the largest number of selection times being plural, configured to allow a washing mode, which is the last selected among the plurality of washing modes, to be displayed on the first screen of the display.

    Abstract: A disclosed home appliance system comprises: a washer for washing clothes; a dryer for drying the clothes; an external server for communicating with the washer and the dryer; and a mobile device for controlling the washer and the dryer through the external server, wherein the mobile device can: acquire energy peak time information including time-specific energy billing information from the external server; display a first user interface for receiving the selection of a first interworking course of sequentially operating the washer and the dryer; determine a first cycle time of the first interworking course including a first washing time of the washer and a first drying time of the dryer, the first cycle time being required in order to perform the first interworking course; display a second user interface for receiving the selection of whether to perform the first interworking course on the basis of the energy peak time information and the first operation time; and transmit first interworking course information to the external server in response to receiving the selection of performing the first interworking course.

    Abstract: A method of generating an image using an image capturing device includes generating an imperfect image excluding data corresponding to one or more pixel sensors by capturing an object while the object is focused. A defocused image is generated to include the data corresponding to the one or more pixel sensors generated using neighboring pixel sensors around the one or more pixel sensors while the object is defocused. The data corresponding to the one or more pixel sensors is extracted based on data in the generated imperfect image and data in the generated defocused image. A final image is then generated by reflecting the extracted data to at least one of the generated imperfect image or the generated defocused image.
