    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a resonator in which a first slot is formed, a first inverter connected to a first point and a second point on the first slot of the resonator and configured to provide power to the first slot for detecting a foreign material, the first point and the second point on the first slot being located opposite to each other with the first slot therebetween, a second inverter connected to a third point and a fourth point of the resonator different from the first point and the second point and configured to transfer power to the resonator, and a controller configured to control the first inverter to apply the first power having the first frequency to the first slot, identify at least one first impedance of the first point and the second point while the first power is applied to the first slot, identify, based on the at least one first impedance, an external object adjacent to the electronic device, and control the second inverter to apply a second power having a second frequency different from the first frequency to the third point and the fourth point so as to wirelessly provide power to an external wireless power reception device for a period at least partially overlapping with a period for which the first power is applied to the resonator.

    Abstract: According to various embodiments, a cover device capable of being coupled to a wireless power-receiving unit comprising circuitry configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power-transmitting unit comprising circuitry may comprise: a first capacitor; a first coil connected to the first capacitor; a ferrite sheet arranged, on at least a portion of the first coil, in the coupling direction between the wireless power-receiving unit and the cover device; and a metal sheet arranged, on at least a portion of the ferrite sheet, in the coupling direction between the wireless power-receiving unit and the cover device. The first capacitor and the first coil can form a closed loop. A first resonance frequency of the first coil can be higher than a second resonance frequency of a second coil of the wireless power-receiving unit.

    Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a power source, memory storing one or more computer programs, a dielectric heating device, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the power source, the memory, and the dielectric heating device, wherein the dielectric heating device includes a first electrode connected to the power source, and a second electrode connected to the power source and arranged to be apart from the first electrode in a direction away from one surface of the first electrode, wherein the second electrode includes a plurality of second unit electrodes arranged at intervals in a longitudinal direction and a width direction, wherein the dielectric heating device heats an object to be heated arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode, and wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors individually or collectively, cause the electronic device to determine an electrode distance, which is a linear distance between the first electrode and the second unit electrodes, based on an estimated moisture content value of a partial region of the object being heated arranged on each of the second unit electrodes.

    Abstract: The disclosure provides a wireless power transmitting device and a method for detecting an approaching object by the wireless power transmitting device. According to the disclosure, a wireless power transmitting device may comprise: a power amplifier, a transmission resonator including a coil, and configured to receive an electrical signal corresponding to a first frequency, which is output through the power amplifier, and to form a magnetic field by the received electrical signal corresponding to the first frequency to transmit power, an antenna configured in a shape corresponding to any one side of a symmetrical axis of a split ring resonator (SRR) antenna, disposed adjacent to the transmission resonator, and configured to receive a signal corresponding to a second frequency, a sensing circuit configured to sense at least part of the signal corresponding to the second frequency transmitted to the antenna, and a controller configured to identify whether a human body approaches, based on a signal sensed through the sensing circuit. A first terminal of the sensing circuit may be connected to a first portion of the antenna, and a second terminal of the sensing circuit may be connected to the coil of the transmission resonator.
