Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed herein. The electronic device includes a display, a biometric sensor, and at least one processor. The processor implements the method, including: when a touch input is detected to the display within the biometric sensing area, increase a brightness of a first pixel group within the biometric sensing area to a first brightness level, and execute at least one of maintaining and changing display of a second pixel group outside the biometric sensing area and, wherein the at least one of maintaining and changing display of the second pixel group includes one of: executing a black state in which display through the second pixel group is disabled, and changing a display attribute for the second pixel group such that a load on the second pixel group is reduced.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method of operating the electronic device using a gamma voltage of a display panel are provided. The electronic device includes a display panel, and a display driver integrated circuit. The display driver integrated circuit includes a source driver including source amplifiers to amplify output signals to be output through sub-pixels included in each pixel of the display panel, a gamma voltage output circuit that outputs one or more gamma voltages for correcting gray scales of the output signals depending on characteristics of the sub-pixels, a gamma adjustment circuit that provides reference voltages for the gamma voltages to the gamma voltage output circuit and includes signal lines connected with the gamma voltage output circuit, and switches connected between the signal lines.

The third edge area of the bracket includes a protruding portion that protrudes a specified distance from a lateral side of the electronic device, and the protruding portion has a thickness smaller than or equal to a specified value.
