Abstract: An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a first microphone, a second microphone, a memory; and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: determining whether a voice is detected in a first sound signal detected by the first microphone; determine whether a present recording period is a voice period or a silent period based on the determination, when the present period is the silent period, receive a second sound signal via the second microphone and analyze a noise signal included therein, remove noise signals from one of the first and second sound signals, based on characteristics of the voice period or the analyzed noise signal, and combine the first and second sound signal into an output signal and transmit the output signal to an external device.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, the above-described specification discloses an electronic device comprises at least one processor configured to: receive a first audio signal and a second audio signal; detect a spectral envelope signal from the first audio signal and extract a feature point from the second audio signal; extend a high-band of the second audio signal based on the spectral envelope signal from the first audio signal and the feature point from the second audio signal to generate a high-band extension signal; and mix the high-band extension signal and the first audio signal, thereby resulting in a synthesized signal.

Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a communication circuit, a speaker, a microphone, a memory, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine whether there is auditory data stored in the memory of the electronic device when an external electronic device is connected thereto through the communication circuit, send a request for auditory data to the external electronic device when there is no auditory data stored in the memory, receive the auditory data from the external electronic device, correct data, at the electronic device, about the sound received through the microphone using the auditory data, receive corrected audio data from the external electronic device, synthesize the corrected data about the sound and the corrected audio data received from the external device to obtain first synthesized data, and output a first new sound corresponding to the first synthesized data through the speaker.

Abstract: An electronic device and a sound signal processing method for improving sound perception of a hearing-impaired user are provided. The electronic device of the present disclosure includes a sound input unit comprising sound input circuitry configured to detect a sound and to convert the sound into a first sound signal and a processor which is electrically connected to the sound input unit, the processor configured to receive the first sound signal and to perform a predetermined signal processing on the first sound signal to generate a second sound signal, wherein the signal processing includes detecting a frequency band with a level equal to or greater than a predetermined value in a first frequency band above a predetermined cutoff frequency of the first sound signal, generating harmonic signals including a plurality of frequency bins that are identical in level with a signal in the detected frequency band, and overlapping the harmonic signals with the first sound signal.
