Abstract: An apparatus for displaying a thumbnail of a panoramic photo is provided. The apparatus includes a camera configured to capture a photo in a panorama photography mode, a controller configured to control a thumbnail image to be created by reducing the panoramic photo shot by the camera module by a predetermined first factor, and a display unit configured to display the thumbnail image on a screen. The controller controls the thumbnail image to be updated by further reducing the thumbnail image by a second factor to fit in a displayable screen range of the display unit if a width of the thumbnail image exceeds the displayable screen range as a shooting angle of the panoramic photo shot by the camera module increases, and controls the updated thumbnail image to be displayed on the screen.
