The display apparatus comprises a display configured to display an image, an image sensor configured to be disposed at a rear side of the display, a reflection member configured to reflect light incident on a front side of the display apparatus and to form an image on the image sensor, and a processor configured to control an operation of the display apparatus based on an image captured in the image sensor.

A display device and a control method therefor are disclosed. According to the disclosure, the display device comprises: a sensor for sensing the surrounding environmental state; an inputter for receiving a user command for content conversion; an outputter for outputting content corresponding to the user command; and a processor for controlling the outputter such that screen brightness and/or audio output strength of second content corresponding to the user command is changed and outputted, when the user command is inputted, on the basis of the sensed surrounding environmental state and/or output information of currently outputted first content. Therefore, the display device can variously output an output of content image and/or audio according to the surrounding environmental state.
Abstract:
3D glasses and a method of controlling power and pairing thereof are provided. The method of controlling power and pairing includes: restricting supply of a specific power of 3D glasses; performing, by the 3D glasses, pairing with a display apparatus; and if it is determined that the pairing is performed, lifting the restriction on the supply of the specific power. Therefore, a user may perform pairing between the 3D glasses and the 3D display apparatus easily and prevent power of the 3D glasses from being unnecessarily wasted.

The shutter glasses for the display apparatus include a shutter-glasses communication unit which receives a first sync signal from the display apparatus displaying a three-dimensional (3D) image; and a shutter-glasses controller which generates an ON/OFF driving signal for a left-eye lens unit and a right-eye lens unit of the shutter glasses based on the first sync signal, the first sync signal including a pattern, based on which at least one sync pulse is periodically omitted in a second sync signal used in displaying the 3D image according to a frame driving frequency of the 3D image. The shutter-glasses controller generates an ON/OFF driving signal in sync with the first sync signal, so that the ON/OFF driving signal includes the sync pulse in a section corresponding to the omitted sync pulse of the second sync signal according to a time period of the first sync signal.

Accordingly, a newly-connected glasses apparatus may be directly synchronized with a target content view.

The apparatus includes: a signal processor which receives a plurality of contents and constructs image frames of the respective contents; an outputter which operates in a first mode to output image frames of only one content, and in a second mode to combine and output the image frames of the plurality of contents; a video telephony processor including an image capturer to capture an image external to the apparatus, the video telephony processor connecting video telephony, if a request for video telephony is received via an external network; and a controller which controls the outputter to determine a combination of the image frames of the plurality of contents outputted through the signal processor, according to an operational status of the video telephony processor.
