A device for transmitting a packet includes a first processor configured to generate a first packet based on a first content; a second processor configured to generate a second packet independently from the first processor based on a second content; a signaling processor configured to generate a signaling packet based on the first content and the second content; and a communication interface configured to transmit the first packet, the second packet, and the signaling packet, wherein the first processor, the second processor, and the signaling processor respectively generate the first packet, the second packet, and the signaling packet in parallel.
Abstract:
A method of performing authentication by an electronic apparatus and an electronic apparatus for performing authentication are provided. The electronic apparatus receives an access request to an application executed on the electronic apparatus, obtain any one of public helper data and private helper data, which are used for user authentication, based on the access requested application, obtain an encryption key from user's biometric information received according to the access request, based on the public helper data or the private helper data by using a fuzzy extractor, and perform user authentication for accessing the application, based on the obtained encryption key.

A method and electronic device for encoding data are provided. The method includes acquiring sets xj(j=1 . . . k) and yi(i=1 . . . p) in generating a Generator Cauchy Matrix, wherein k denotes a number of information symbols, and p denotes a number of parity symbols, generating a matrix A1 using the sets xj and yi, wherein elements of the matrix A1 are obtained by 1 x j + y i and have weight of Galois field, and the matrix A1 has a size of P×K, generating a set K, wherein all elements of the set K are not included in the sets xj and yi, updating the set xj by changing at least one element of the set xj for an element of the set K, updating the set yi by changing at least one element of the set yi for the set K element, generating the Generator Cauchy Matrix using the updated sets xj and yi, and encoding data including the information symbols and parity symbols using the Generator Cauchy Matrix.

A foldable device and method for executing an application are provided. The foldable device includes a motion sensor, memory storing one or more computer programs, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the motion sensor and the memory, wherein the one or more computer programs include computer-executable instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the foldable device to receive, via the motion sensor, a user input for unfolding the foldable device, in response to receiving the user input for unfolding the foldable device, identify, based on sensor values from the motion sensor of the foldable device, a user who has unfolded the foldable device from among at least one user registered with the foldable device, and provide an application for the foldable device based on the identified user.
Abstract:
A method and a system for estimating a parameter in a communication system are provided. The method includes estimating a parameter of a data channel model in a communication system, decoding a packet received through a determined noise channel to convert the packet into data indicating one of a success and failure of a reception of the packet, configuring a prototype channel having at least one unknown parameter, estimating the at least one unknown parameter using the data indicating the one of the success and the failure of the reception of the packet, and determining the size of a parity field of a forward error correction (FEC) symbol, using the estimated at least one unknown parameter.
