    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for detecting a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, comprising: determining a frequency domain region in which a control resource set (CORESET) is located, wherein the frequency domain region in which the CORESET is located comprise at least a part of a frequency domain region of CORESET0 determined based on a master information block (MIB) configuration; and performing Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) detection based on the determined frequency domain region in which the CORESET is located.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method of a user equipment (UE) is provided, which the method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), configuration information associated with at least one non-cell defining-synchronization signal block (NCD-SSB). The method comprises identifying configurations for the at least one NCD-SSB based on the received configuration information, wherein the configurations for the at least one NCD-SSB includes configuration of a frequency domain, configuration of a period and configuration of a time domain for the at least one NCD-SSB. The method comprises receiving the at least one NCD-SSB on a resource based on the identified configurations.
