    Abstract: An electronic device, a base station, and a method for managing a shared spectrum. The electronic device includes a processor configured to cause the electronic device to obtain coexistence measurement reports (CMRs) from the plurality of BSs; identify interference relationships among the plurality of BSs based on the CMRs; assign a set of BSs to one or more basic allocation units (BAUs) in a plurality of BAUs based on the interference relationships; and transmit a spectrum access grant (SAG) to the set of BSs, wherein the SAG includes BAU assignments for the set of BSs. Each BAU in the plurality of BAUs is a time/frequency unit and the set of BSs includes a primary BS and a secondary BS. The secondary BS can transmit in the one or more BAUs when a transmission of the secondary BS does not interfere with a transmission of the primary BS.

    Abstract: A method for discovering and diagnosing network anomalies. The method includes receiving key performance indicator (KPI) data and alarm data. The method includes extracting features based on samples obtained by discretizing the KPI data and the alarm data. The method includes generating a set of rules based on the features. The method includes identifying a sample as a normal sample or an anomaly sample. In response to identifying the sample as the anomaly sample, the method includes identifying a first rule that corresponds to the sample, wherein the first rule indicates symptoms and root causes of an anomaly included in the sample. The method further includes applying the root causes to derive a root cause explanation of the anomaly and performing a corrective action to resolve the anomaly based on the first rule.

    Abstract: An electronic device, a method, and a BS for managing a BSs in a shared spectrum. The electronic device receives synchronization measurement reports (SMRs) from the BSs and identifies, based on the SMRs, at least one synchronization source BS and at least one slave BS from the BSs. Transmission timing of the at least one slave BS is based on transmission timing of the at least one synchronization source BS. The electronic device assigns the at least one synchronization source BS to a stratum in a synchronization hierarchy. A synchronization source BS assigned to an n=0 stratum provides a reference frame timing for the plurality of BSs and a synchronization source BS assigned to an n>0 stratum derives frame timing from another synchronization source BS assigned to an n−1 stratum. The electronic device configures synchronization signals and transmits synchronization management indications (SMIs) to the plurality of BSs.

    Abstract: An electronic device includes a transceiver configured to receive information related to an action request or rule. The electronic device further includes a processor operatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor is configured to determine that the action is location based, and identify a zone within which the electronic device is located. The identification of the zone is based on at least one of a first reception by the transceiver of at least one signal indicative of a location of the electronic device, and a second reception by the transceiver of at least one response to a transmission of a signal indicative of a location of the electronic device. The processor is further configured to trigger an action based on the action request or rule and the identified zone.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for automating configuration management in cellular networks.
