Abstract:
Provided is a washing machine capable of preventing laundry in a rotary tub from having pigment transfer or contamination due to wash water of an auxiliary washing tub. The washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub located in the cabinet and storing wash water therein, a main washing tub rotatably disposed in the tub and having a first washing space, and an auxiliary washing tub detachably mounted to the main washing tub and having a second washing space, wherein the auxiliary washing tub includes a drain path for guiding wash water of the second washing space to a space between the tub and the main washing tub.
Abstract:
Provided is a washing machine having a detergent supply device in which water supplied to the detergent supply device is evenly distributed in a detergent case so that detergent remaining in the detergent case is washed out completely. The detergent supply device includes a housing having an opening, a detergent case coupled to be movable through the opening and provided with a detergent accommodating part in which a detergent is accommodated, and a water supply unit coupled to the housing and configured to guide water to the detergent case, wherein the water supply unit includes: a first water supply frame provided with a first water supply channel that guides water to a first area corresponding to the detergent accommodating part; and a second water supply frame provided with a second water supply channel that guides water to a second area having at least a portion located outside a circumference of the first area.
Abstract:
Provided is a washing machine and control method thereof. The washing machine includes at least one magnet attached to an auxiliary wash tub detachable from a main wash tub; a switching device configured to output a detection signal when the at least one magnet approaches within a preset range to the switching device; and a controller configured to determine whether the auxiliary wash tub is installed based on whether the detection signal of the switching device is output, and control a component in the washing machine based on the determination of whether the auxiliary wash tub is installed.
Abstract:
A washing machine including a body, a rotary tub disposed inside the body, and a detergent containing unit installed on the body to dissolve a detergent in washing water to supply the detergent. The detergent containing unit includes a housing coupled with the inside of the body, a detergent container contained in the housing to contain the detergent, and a rotary device rotatably coupled with at least part of a path through which the detergent moves to dissolve the detergent in the washing water. A dissolving ability of the detergent may be improved. Also, it is possible to dissolve a solid detergent and a liquid detergent in one detergent containing unit without an additional component. Also, since it is possible to prevent residual detergent from being left in the detergent containing unit after washing, it is unnecessary to additionally use a rinse function to clean the detergent containing unit.
Abstract:
A washing machine including a tub, a spin basket rotatably mounted in the tub, a pulsator rotatably mounted in the spin basket and having a pulsator hub part extending downward from a center portion of the pulsator, a driving device to generate rotational force, a wash shaft to transmit the rotational force generated from the driving device to the pulsator, and a buoyancy clutch upwardly and downwardly movably mounted to the pulsator hub part and configured to move up and down by buoyancy. The buoyancy clutch is configured to rotate together with the pulsator. When the buoyancy clutch moves down, the spin basket is engaged with the buoyancy clutch and receives the rotational force.
Abstract:
A washing machine including an auxiliary washing tub in a washing tub, and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The washing machine includes a main washing tub and an auxiliary washing tub through which different laundry can be classified according to the weight or category of laundry such that the classified laundry can be separately washed. As a result, user convenience increases, and the entire washing time and unnecessary energy consumption can be reduced. When the main washing tub and the auxiliary washing tub are simultaneously operated, when only the main washing tub is independently operated, or when only the auxiliary washing tub is independently operated, laundry can be effectively washed in different ways in the washing tub and the auxiliary washing tub according to an optimum washing algorithm achieved by a combination of washing-tub rotation and pulsator rotation, such that laundry can be less damaged and washing performance can be improved.
Abstract:
A washing machine includes a motor for generating power and a clutch assembly that receives the power from the motor and drives a drum and a pulsator. The clutch assembly includes a driving shaft that receives the power from the motor and rotates, a pulsator drive portion selectively receiving the power from the driving shaft to rotate the pulsator, and a drum driving portion selectively receiving the power from the driving shaft to rotate the drum, The clutch assembly is provided to selectively drive a driving portion of at least one of the drum driving portion and the pulsator drive portion. With this configuration, the washing machine capable of running various modes of a washing mode and dehydration mode is implemented.
Abstract:
A washing machine includes a cabinet, a tub provided inside the cabinet to store wash water therein, a drum rotatably provided inside the tub, and a balancer comprising an upper side surface covering an outer surface of a bottom of the drum and a lower side surface formed at one side of the upper side surface in a planar shape while facing an inner surface of a bottom of the tub. The balancer is configured to counterbalance an unbalanced load of the drum, thereby saving energy and enhancing balancing efficiency.
Abstract:
A detergent feeding apparatus that automatically supplies a detergent to a washing machine. The washing machine including a cabinet, a tub to accommodate water at an inside therein, and a detergent feeding apparatus to supply at least one detergent along with wash water to the tub. Wherein the detergent feeding apparatus includes a detergent container housing installed at an inside the cabinet, a detachable detergent container, and at least one valve apparatus configured in a way that the detergent accommodated at the detergent container is automatically put into the detergent container housing, wherein the at least one valve apparatus includes a detergent accommodating room to accommodate detergent at an inside therein, an inlet valve to allow the detergent in the detergent container to introduced to the detergent accommodating room, and an outlet valve to allow the detergent in the detergent accommodating room to be discharged to the detergent container housing.
