摘要： A washing machine includes a first washing compartment to hold a first set of articles to be washed and a second washing compartment to holds a second set of articles to be washed, the second washing compartment having an inserted position and a removed position. A liquid flow valve is configured to connect to an external liquid source to selectively control flow of liquid from the external liquid source and into one or more of the first washing compartment and the second washing compartment. An electric motor is configured to rotate the first washing compartment, and the second washing compartment, when the second washing compartment is in the inserted position. A controller, in communication with the electric motor, determines a mass of the second set of articles and then determines, as a function of the determined mass, a volume of water to be added to the second washing compartment.

摘要： The present invention relates to a coupling system for fitting and attaching of a removable internal basket for a washing machine. The washing machine comprises a removable washing compartment configured to be mounted in the washing machine. The washing machine includes at least one convex protrusion or at least one concave groove across a portion of an inner side surface, and the removable washing compartment includes the other of at least one convex protrusion or at least one concave groove across a portion of an outer side surface. The balancing device includes a smooth surface portion across a portion of the inner side wall and the removable washing compartment includes a complimentary smooth surface portion across a portion of an outer side surface. When the removable washing compartment is mounted in the washing machine, the smooth surface portion on the inner side wall aligns with the smooth surface portion on the outer surface of the removable washing compartment and the at least one convex protrusion nests with the at least one concave groove such that the surface of the convex protrusion contacts the surface of the concave groove.

摘要： Disclosed is a method of controlling a laundry treating apparatus comprising a tub configured to hold wash water, a drum mounted in the tub, a pulsator mounted in the drum, a sub-drum coupled to the drum, the sub-drum being configured to hold wash water, and a drive unit configured to rotate the drum and the pulsator. The method comprises a water current forming step comprising performing a basket motion and a pulsate motion and a cooling step comprising lowering the temperature of the drive unit. The basket motion is configured to form water current in the wash water held in the tub and in the sub-drum simultaneously. The pulsate motion is configured to form water current in wash water held in the drum while the pulsator is driven. A performance timing of the cooling step is preset in at least one of the wash cycle or the rinse cycle.
