Abstract: Disclosed are an electronic device and a control method for providing a security screen. In an electronic device according to various embodiments of the present document, when a specific application-associated event occurs in the electronic device while the electronic device is being connected to an external electronic device, a notification of event-associated information except for privacy information is provided through the external electronic device, so that a situation in which the privacy information stored in the electronic device is exposed to another user can be prevented.
