    摘要： Disclosed is a method and an apparatus for recognizing characters using an image. A camera is activated according to a character recognition request and a preview mode is set for displaying an image photographed through the camera in real time. An auto focus of the camera is controlled and an image having a predetermined level of clarity is obtained for character recognition from the images obtained in the preview mode. The image for character recognition is character-recognition-processed so as to extract recognition result data. A final recognition character row is drawn that excludes non-character data from the recognition result data. A first word is combined including at least one character of the final recognition character row and a predetermined maximum number of characters. A dictionary database that stores dictionary information on various languages using the first word is searched, so as to provide the user with the corresponding word.

    摘要： A method for providing a correct e-dictionary search result for a document recognition result includes performing character recognition of a document in which Korean characters (Hangul) and Chinese characters are mixed and displaying a recognition result. If a character string to be searched is selected by a user from the recognition result, determining whether the selected character string corresponds to Hangul or Chinese characters, detecting a Hangul word or a Chinese word included in the selected character string, and outputting an e-dictionary search result corresponding to the detected Hangul or a Chinese word. Accordingly, the user can use an e-dictionary function without directly inputting a search word and obtain a correct e-dictionary search result for a document in which Hangul and Chinese characters are mixed.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for transmitting data to an Access Point (AP) and a Mobile Station (MS) in a Time Division Duplex (TDD) optical repeater. A main donor generates a control frame for controlling a remote, upon receipt of data from the AP, and transmits the control frame to the remote during a non-downlink transmission period. The remote analyzes the control frame received from the main donor, detects sync information about a downlink signal and an uplink signal, and remote control information from the analyzed control frame, performs a control operation according to the detected remote control information, and generates a status frame for notifying the main donor of the status of the remote upon receipt of data from the MS. The status frame is transmitted from the remote to the main donor during a non-uplink transmission period.
